I Made A Sign

This week (beginning of July 2023) I’ve been gearing myself up by making a banner I can use at craft fairs to hopefully catch some eyes, look fab and demo my making skills in one fell swoop.

I did of course use pre-existing materials for this:

  • Navy wool upholstery fabric surplus to a commercial box cushion job

  • White polyester felt leftover from a cycling cheering flag sewing commission

  • Teal bamboo fleece I used to make Iain a dressing gown Christmas present

  • Aqua wool upholstery fabric again surplus to the box cushion job

  • Light-navy cotton I once used to line a cropped tweed cape I made myself

I did consider using some reclaimed shirt fabric in the foliage pattern but decided not to in the end. The navy was too close a match to my TCC colours to pass it up.

Pretty pleased with the result. I hope it performs as I want it to.
